కొన్నాళ్ళ క్రితం, తన పేరు చివర ఖాన్ అన్ని ఉన్నందుకే, అమెరికా ఇమ్మిగ్రేషన్ అధికారులు రెండు గంటలపాటు నిర్బంధించారని నానా హడావుడీ చేసాడు ఈ కామెడీ కింగ్. ఇప్పుడు ఐ.పి.ఎల్. లో పాకిస్తాన్ క్రీడాకారులను తీసుకోకపోవటంపై నిరశన వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నాడు అదే కామెడీ ఖాన్.
మింగుడుపడని విషయం ఏమిటంటే, ఐ.పి.ఎల్. లో కోల్ కత్త నైట్ రైడర్సుకు వీడు అధినేత. ఐ.పి.ఎల్. ఆక్షన్లు జరుగుతున్నప్పుడు పల్లెత్తు మాట అనలేకపోయినవాడు, ఇప్పుడు ప్రతిఘటించటంలోని ఔచిత్యం ఏమిటి?
ముంబాయి దాడులు జరిగి గట్టిగా సంవత్సరం కాలేదు. ఈ సంవత్సర కాలంలో భారత్ నమ్మకాన్ని ఏరకంగా పాకిస్తాన్ సాధించిందని ఇప్పుడు ఆ దేశంతో క్రీడా సంబంధాలు పెట్టుకోవాలి? వీడికి తందనాలాడుతూ కేంద్ర హోం శాఖా మంత్రి చిదంబరం కూడా, పాకిస్తాన్ క్రీడాకారులను ఐ.పి.ఎల్. ఫ్రాంచైజీలు తీసుకుంటే అభ్యంతరంలేదని, వారి రక్షణకు ఏర్పాట్లు చేయగలమని ప్రకటించాడు!
పాకిస్తాన్ లో శిక్షణ పొందిన తీవ్రవాదుల నుంచి సామాన్య భారతీయులను రక్షించలేని ప్రభుత్వాలు, పాకిస్తాన్ క్రీడాకారులకు మాత్రం ప్రత్యేక రక్షణ కల్పిస్తామని మాట్లడటం ఏమిటి? భారతీయుల కన్నా, పాకిస్తాన్ వాళ్ళే ఈ ప్రభుత్వాలకి ముఖ్యమా?
ద్వైపాక్షిక సంబంధాలు మెరుగుపడాలంటే క్రీడా సాంస్కృతిక సంబంధాలు, సంఝౌతా ఎక్స్ ప్రెస్సులు మొదలవ్వలానేదే ముఖ్యమా? గత ఆరు దశాబ్దాల కాలంలో, సంబంధాల మెరుగుదలకు భారత్ చేయనిదేమిటి, దానికి ప్రతిఫలంగా పాకిస్తాన్ మనకు ఇచ్చిందేమిటి?
కామెడీ కింగ్ ఖాన్ సినిమాలు పాకిస్తాన్ లో విడుదల చేస్తే, వాడికి వాడి నిర్మాతలకు ఉపయోగమేమో కానీ, దానివల్ల సగటు భారతీయుడికి కలుగుతున్న ప్రయోజనం ఏమిటి - తీవ్రవాదుల చేతుల్లో దాడులకు గురవ్వటం తప్ప. కామెడీ కింగ్ ఖాన్ ను వెనకేసుకొచ్చే రాజకీయ నాయకులకు కాశ్మీర్ పండితులపై జరిగే అత్యాచారాలను ప్రశ్నించే అనుపం ఖేర్ పై ఎందుకు చిన్న చూపు?

ReplyDeleteఇప్పటికైనా ఈ సత్సంబంధాలకోసం వాళ్ళకిలేని పాకులాట మానుకోవాలి. ఇప్పటికే చాలా సార్లు చూశాంకదా క్రీడా సంబంధాలంటూ మొదలు పెట్టడం, తరువాత సాంస్కృతిక సంబంధాలు, రాయబారులు, చర్చలంటూ ముందుకుపోవడం, వాళ్ళేమో గూబకంటేలా రెండు తగిలించడం మళ్ళీ రాయబారులను వెనక్కు తీసుకోవటం, సరిహద్దుల్లో హడావిడి... ఇది వరస.
మన ఆంతరంగిక భద్రతను కాపాడుకోవడానికి పాకిస్తాన్తో సత్సంబంధాలు తప్ప వేరే మార్గం మనకు తట్టకపోవడం మన దివాలాకోరుతనం అంతకుమించి వెధవాయితనం.

Hi Malak - I don't know, why you are so unsure! What is India benefitting by allowing these people from Pakistan? Am not talking about the commercial values of these players. See it in the context that Pakistan is a Terror State.
ReplyDeleteBTW, Were we not part of banning South Africa few years back? Did we ever think, South African players are mere sports persons? Why not the same be applied in Pakistan's case. They are representing Pakistan... period. They should not be allowed in India.

As of the people from Pakistan, well if it is kicking somebody liek Javed Miandad who has direct contacts with the terrorists then every common man will welcome it.
But Bal Thackarey invited Miandad to his house. Even today if Miandad visits India he will get a royal welcome from the Govt but a middle class Pakistani cricketer who earns his daily bread playing cricket ( for he cant do anything in that God damned country infested with terrorists) is being snubbed.
India has "invited" Pakistani diplomats ( Read terrorist covers) for "talks" - but the cricketers are snubbed.
By the way I am NOT saying that Shah Rukh is fair on this issue. He has his commercial interests and he needs some publicity before the release of his new film :))
One more thing - India cut off the diplomatic relations with South Africa completely (and we didnt play them), but in the current scenario we are keeping the doors open for diplomacy but showing our anger on a few guys who have nothing to do with politics.
There will be some justification if we declare Pakistan a terrorist country and cut off all the diplomatic relations with them and then bar any Pakistani from entering India ( and hence snub the Cricketers) - but when we are playing them in all the tournaments, why separate rules for IPL?

DARBHANGA — Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi, who is on a two-day visit to Bihar widely dubbed as an exercise to test the waters, had to leave Darbhanga after students of Lalit Narayan Mithila University got agitated over his Gujarat remarks.
Apparently to woo Muslim students, the son of Congress president Sonia Gandhi reportedly said, “India can change only if Gujarat changed first.”
The students created ruckus accusing the scion of the Nehru-Gandhi family of doing politics in university campus. They asked him to abstain from making political utterances and that the campus was not a platform for such meetings.
Protesting students shouted, “There is Congress government in Maharashtra and you also have the government at Centre, but why do you keep your mouth shut when Biharis are beaten in Bombay. Don’t ever come to Bihar to play your cheap and hypocritical politics.”
Gandhi had to apologize as Congress leaders present at the venue failed to calm down the angry students. He, finally, had to leave the campus as students refused to listen to him.

ReplyDeleteAnybody remembers the South African Cricket Team during 1970s. Poor fellows one generation of players were unfortunate enough not to be allowed to participate in any international Cricket events because they hail from a countriy practising aparthied. Compared to what Pakistan is doing to our country, what South Africans did to us. We never had any cricketing relationship with them till aparthied was abolished.
